I am Jana Hall, a third-year senior public relations major at the University of Florida. This blog was constructed to explore my aesthetic experience of internet literature. As a public relations major, I live in a cage of the fast-paced whirl of events communicated through news briefs on the evening news, newspaper stories and editorials, event planning, fundraising, crisis management and so much more. This is my forte, this is my passion.

My blog will explore the qualities of Italo Calvino’s Six Memos for the Next Millenium.  Calvino published five memos prior to his death, leaving the sixth memo unfinished. Despite the inability to finish the sixth memo, Calvino accomplishes quite a lot in the description of the qualities of the five memos he did publish.

Calvino’s book  and my blog will explore the qualities of : Lightness, Quickness, Exactitude, visibility and Multiplicity.

For each of Calvino’s qualities, I have posted a brief description, and internet literature example, a graphic element example, an analogy and an emblem. One of the commentaries I will post includes the graphic design elements taken from Lupton and Phillips’ Graphic Design: The New Basics.
